ABOUT

The RIXC Art-Science Residency supports artists and artists-researchers, who work on the edges of art, science and digital technologies. The residency is located in the very heart of Riga, providing access to digital laboratory for production, the gallery venue for public events and RIXC Fields residency near the city of Talsi with the greenhouse for artistic growing experiments and field research. RIXC runs multiple artist-in-residency (AiR) programs.

RIXC Immersive Art and Open AiR Programs

RIXC is hosting immersive art and nature residencies and expanding globally in 2025 – hosting artists from Europe, Ukraine, Taiwan and Baltic-Nordic region. The applications for the Open AiR are accepted all year round.

EMAP – European Media Art Platform

RIXC with this AiR program is a part of the larger European Media Arts platform. It provides residencies for digital media artists in 16 media art centers in Europe specialised in digital and media art, bio art and robotic art.

Baltic-Nordic AiR Program

This Art Science Residency welcomes applications from Nordic and Baltic artists, who work in the intersection of art, science and ecology. In particular we expect proposals for new ideas and new artworks developed in RIXC Fields residency in rural site.

Testimonials

I would like to thank all of you for the interesting and wonderful conference Global Control. Everything was perfect as the last years. The exhibition, the key note speakers, all the speakers, the swamp radio under the rain. Amazing! It’s a very pleasure to take part to your activities.
